Operation steps 2 to 6

Apply sealant to inner B-pillar (2) (area A).

Only when replacing right side of vehicle.

Install B-pillar outer section (1) and fit.

with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)
Install mounting rail (4) on longitudinal member panel, for this purpose fasten mounting rail (4) with bolts (5).

Fix B-pillar outer section (1) with  side portal frame and straightening tool.

Tack weld B-pillar outer section (1)   (area Q).

Remove mounting rail (4) on longitudinal member panel.

B-pillar outer section (1)   (areas L to N).

B-pillar outer section (1)   (areas O and P).

 Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.

Grind inert gas welds down flat (areas O and P).

Clean weld joints.

Restore surfaces on B-pillar outer section (1) and smooth.

Remove shavings and drill chips.
