Install outer section of B-pillar

Apply seam seal to soundproofing (2, 3, 4) (areas A, B and C).


If soundproofing is damaged (2, 3, 4),


Replace affected soundproofing (2, 3, 4).

Install outer section of B-pillar

Install B-pillar outer section (1), fit, and fix in place with the side portal frame and welding fixture.

Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between.
Reduces heat distortion.

Grind inert gas welds down flat (areas H and I).

Restore surfaces and smooth (areas H and I).
