Mark separating points on side wall paneling (1) and cut (areas A).

 Dimensions:
a = approx. 35 mm.

Mark separating points on sidewall paneling (1) and cut (areas B and C).

 Dimensions:
b = approx. 1 mm.
c = approx. 1 mm.

Punch holes for plug welding on side wall paneling (1) with Ø 6 mm and a maximum hole interval of 15 mm (areas D).

Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on sidewall paneling (1) in crosshatched areas.

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove grinding dust and drill chips.

Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
