Mark connecting points on sidewall paneling (1) and cut (areas A and B).

 Transfer dimension (a) from vehicle.

Remove section (11).

Punch holes for plug welding on side wall paneling (1) with Ø 6 mm bit (area C).

 Transfer position of holes from vehicle.

Mark separating points on side wall paneling (1) and cut (areas D).

 Dimensions:
d = 1 mm

 Folding edge must remain.

Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on sidewall paneling (1) in crosshatched areas.

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove grinding dust and drill chips.

Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
