The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on MODEL 909.843 and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

Scribe cuts on rear sidewall (1) and cut (areas F and G).

Do not make the cuts too deep.
Otherwise the components below can be damaged and weakened.

Expose spot welds on rear sidewall (1) and cut out (areas A, B, C, D and E).

Remove rear sidewall paneling behind wheel arch

Expose weld seams (arrows) on rear sidewall (1) and cut.

Remove rear sidewall (1).

Expose spot welds and cut out (areas H and J).

Remove section (1.1 and 1.2).

Remove rear sidewall paneling behind wheel arch

Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched inner C-pillar sidewall .


Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Remove grinding dust and drill chips.


9

Coat inside of spot welding flanges with zinc dust paint.
