Remove/install sensors for center Parktronic system (PTS) in front bumper
Remove/install sensors for center Parktronic system (PTS) in front bumper

Work procedure shown on left side of vehicle

Remove expansion rivet (1) from left or right fender liner (2).


Installation: Check expansion rivet (1) for damage.


If there is damage,

replace corresponding expansion rivet (1).

Remove/install sensors for center Parktronic system (PTS) in front bumper

Push left or right fender liner (2) to one side until center left front PARKTRONIC sensor (B8/17) or center right front PARKTRONIC sensor (B8/20) is accessible.

Disconnect electrical connection at the center left front PARKTRONIC (B8/17) or the center right front PARKTRONIC sensor (B8/20).

Carefully press the catch hooks (arrows) outwards and pull center left front Parktronic sensor (B8/17) or the center right front Parktronic sensor (B8/20) out of the guide.


Installation: Convert decoupling ring (3) when replacing left front center PARKTRONIC sensor (B8/17) or right front center PARKTRONIC sensor (B8/20).
Check the decoupling ring (3) for damage.


If the decoupling ring (3) is damaged,

replace decoupling ring (3).

Install in the reverse order.
