Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Notes on battery

Remove/install

Disconnect ground line from battery

Turn lock of cover (1) by 90° from position "A" to position "B" and remove cover (1)

Remove bolts (3), unscrew nut (4) and detach steering column trim (2)

Open cover of nut (6) for positive line (5) and unscrew nut (6)

Remove positive line (5) from electrical center (7)

Unscrew nut (9) and remove washer (10)

Undo bolt (8) and remove electrical center (7) until electrical connectors (11) are accessible

Disconnect all electrical connectors (11) from electrical center (7) and remove electrical center (7)

9

Install in the reverse order

Set time on instrument cluster

11

Set time on timer for auxiliary heater
