Remove/install

Remove right front wheel

Remove right fender liner in fender far enough to gain access to the right electrical connection for the front axle service brake valve (X62/38)

Detach right electrical connection from front axle service brake valve (X62/38)

Remove right electrical connection of front axle service brake valve (X62/38) from bracket (1)

 Installation: Check bracket (1).

If damage is present



Replace bracket (1)

Remove cable ties (2)

 Installation: Replace cable tie (2).

Unclip electrical wiring harness of right front brake wear sensor from brackets (3, 4)

 Installation: Check bracket (3, 4).

If damage is present



Replace bracket (3, 4)

Detach right front electrical connection (5) from brake wear sensor

Remove bolt (6)

 Screw/bolt, brake wear indicator to floating caliper

Open dust cap (7) and remove wiring harness from right front brake wear sensor

Install in the reverse order

 Front axle floating caliper
