| Remove/install | ||
1 | Disconnect ground line of battery | ||
2 | Unscrew nut (6) and place battery sensor (B95) with ground line to one side | ||
3 | Remove ground line (5) at interior ground, left floor (arrow) | ||
4 | Remove positive terminal cover (10) | ||
5 | Unscrew nut (2) and remove positive lines (1) from battery clamp (9) | ||
6 | Loosen nut of battery clamp (9) and remove battery clamp (9) from battery | ||
7 | Remove cable tie (11) | ||
8 | Unclip retaining clip (4) at battery bracket | Check retaining clip (4), replace if necessary. | |
9 | Press grommet (7) outwards out of the battery recess | Installation: Check correct installation position of grommet (7). | |
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |
10 | Raise vehicle with vehicle lift and remove underfloor paneling | Rechargeable drill / screwdriver gotis://G_58.0_01.1 | |
11 | Unscrew nuts (8) from starter-alternator control unit (N129), guide positive line (3) and ground line (5) downwards out of the battery recess and remove | Installation: Insert grommet (7) into the battery recess from underneath. | |
