Danger | Risk of fire/risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. | No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. | |

Replace defective battery (G1) and dispose of removed part. | |||
6.1 | Detach positive line from second battery for 24 volt vehicles (G1/4) | Vehicles with 12V and 24V on-board electrical system | |
6.2 | Disconnect positive lines from both batteries (G1) | Vehicles without 24V on-board electrical system | |
7 | Disconnect connecting line | Vehicles with 12V and 24V on-board electrical system | |
Detach connecting line between first battery for 24 volt vehicles (G1/6) and the second battery for 24 volt vehicles (G1/4). | |||
8 | Disconnect vent hoses | If installed | |
9 | Remove both battery brackets | Installation: Do not mix up brackets. | |
10.1 | Remove second battery for 24 volt vehicles (G1/4) and first battery for 24 volt vehicles (G1/6) | Vehicles with 12V and 24V on-board electrical system | |
Replace defective batteries and dispose of removed parts. | |||
