Remove/install

Remove cover under transfer case.

 Installation: Install cover only after a leak test.

Release electrical connector(1) and disconnect.

Remove screw/bolt (2).

Remove nut (7) at gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/3).

 Nut, differential pressure sensor to bracket

Remove nut (3) and remove bracket at hoses (4, 5).

Remove nut (6) and remove bracket at hoses (4, 5).

 Nut/screw, differential pressure sensor pressure lines to holder

Set down gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/3) with attached hoses (4, 5) downwards.

Mark installation position of hoses (4, 5).

Remove hoses (4, 5) from gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/3).

Seal openings with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Remove gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/3).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.

If gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/3) was replaced.



Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run; check engine for proper operation and check exhaust system for leak tightness.
