Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove upper engine cover.



Remove temperature sensor upstream of oxidation catalytic converter (B16/19).

Remove temperature sensor downstream of oxidation catalytic converter (B19/8).

Unclip electric line from high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor (B16/10) at bracket (1).

Remove high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor (B16/10).

 Temperature sensor to SCR catalytic converter/exhaust gas turbocharger/exhaust manifold/valve housing

Seal exposed openings using suitable means.

Unclip electric lines (2) from retaining clips (3).

Release and disconnect electrical connector at temperature sensor control unit (B175).

Unscrew screw/bolts (4).

 Bolt, sensor unit for temperature sensors to holder

Remove temperature sensor control unit (B175) from engine compartment.

Install in the reverse order.
