Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle with inspection pit lift or vehicle jack at the front axle and jack up

Support jack stands at the right and left rocker panel directly to the rear of the front wheelhouse, otherwise the vehicle may tip over. The unraised rear axle must also be secured against moving off.

Remove right front wheel

Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary

Remove front right wheelhouse inner paneling

Remove cover panel (1).

Remove hose clamp (3) between primary catalytic converter (4) and exhaust flex pipe (50

Installation: Install new sealing cone.

Loosen flange connection (6) between the exhaust flex pipe (5) and the center exhaust pipe (7)

Installation: Replace the gaskets.

Remove exhaust flex pipe (5)

Seal off the center exhaust pipe (7) using a suitable cover

For protection against the ingress of foreign bodies.

Seal off the primary catalytic converter (4) using a suitable cover

For protection against the ingress of foreign bodies.

Install in the reverse order
