Remove/install

Perform power disconnect of high-voltage on-board electrical system.

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Release high-voltage plug (1.1) and disconnect from high-voltage battery charger (2).

Cover high-voltage plug (1.1) and connection to high-voltage battery charger (2) with suitable protective covers.

Release plug housing (1.2) and disconnect from high-voltage battery charger (2).

Unclip electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) at line brackets (arrows A).

Route electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) along firewall behind axle drive module downwards.

Remove underfloor paneling (3).

Unclip electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) at line brackets (arrows B).

Guide electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) in direction of arrow (arrow C) out of engine compartment.


Handle electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) with care.
Electrical wiring harnesses (1.3), high-voltage plug (1.1) and/or plug housing (1.2) can otherwise be damaged.

Remove cover(4).

Unclip electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) at line brackets (arrows D).

Unclip pilot bushing (5) of charging connector emergency release from bracket (6).

Open socket flap (7).

Remove cover cap (8) from charger feed-in socket (1).

Unscrew screws (9) and remove charger feed-in socket (1) with electrical wiring harnesses (1.3) and water drain hose (1.4) downwards.

 Installation: Ensure adjustment wheel (12) of charging connector emergency release is seated and positioned correctly.

 Installation: Ensure pilot bushing (10) of charging connector emergency release is correctly seated at bracket (11).

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Perform function check of high-voltage charger.
