Remove/install

Empty the fuel tank.

Remove rear left wheel and tire assembly.

Remove fender liner in rear left fender.

Remove tank filler recess.

Release sealing boot (1) from the body and push downward.

 Installation: Check sealing boot (1) for damage; replace if necessary.

Unscrew nuts (3) from filler neck (2).

 Nut, filler neck to body

Remove trim from rear axle carrier.

Remove fuel hose (7) from filler neck (2) and seal it.

 Installation: When installing new filler neck (2), also install new fuel hose (7).

 Clamp, fuel hose to fuel tank/filler neck

Pull filler neck (2) out of the sealing boot (1) and remove.

Seal exposed connections using suitable plugs.

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.
