1 | Remove and lower front axle carrier | ||
Do not remove transverse control arm from steering knuckles and do not remove stabilizer bar link rods. There must be adequate space for removing the boot (2). | |||
2 | Remove ball socket | ||
3 | Detach heat shield (1) | Only when removing the right boot (2). | |
To do so, open front bayonet locks of heat shield (1) and lift up heat shield (1) slightly. | |||
4 | Unscrew locknut (3) | ||
5 | Open clamps (4, 5) | Installation: Replace clamp (4), check clamp (5); replace if necessary. | |
6 | Remove boot (2) | ||
| Check | ||
7 | Check boot (2), replace if necessary | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order |
