Remove/install tie rod ball joint

Remove/Install

Remove front wheels

Loosen nut (1) on the tie rod (2)

 Before loosening the nut (1), mark the location of the tie rod (2) relative to the tie rod end (4) or count the revolutions when unscrewing the tie rod end (4).

Counterhold tie rod end (4) on the wrench flat.



Unscrew nut (5) at the flange joint (3)

 Installation: Steady bolt on flange joint (3) using a suitable tool.



Pry tie rod end (4) off the flange joint (3)

 Puller

Check flange joint (3)

 If there is play in the flange joint (3): 

Remove/install flange joint

Unscrew tie rod end (4) from the tie rod (2)

Install in the reverse order

Carry out chassis alignment.
