Pushing off
1 Unscrew self-locking nut from tie rod joint (10a)
2 Install thrust piece (045) on tie rod joint (10a).
3 Pry off tie rod joint (10a) using puller (044) and thrust piece (045).
Do not damage boot, otherwise lubricant would leak out of the tie rod joint (10a) This results in increased wear.
4 Remove puller (044) and thrust piece (045).
Install
5 Clean tapered connection.
There must not be any grease or oil on the cone or thread, otherwise the tie rod joint (10a) could work loose.
6 Replace self-locking nut and tighten, see . If necessary, counterhold ball head using an Allen wrench.
