Remove

Loosen the safety nuts (2) in the Pitman arm (1) and in the front axle steering arm.

Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts

AH00.00-N-0001-01A


Do not remove the nut in this operation.
Otherwise, the tie rod will come loose with the puller and may cause injuries.

Loosen the tie rod (3) in the Pitman arm (1) and in the steering arm

 The tie rod suddenly comes loose.

Remove the safety nuts (2) and the tie rod (3)



Install

Install the tie rod (3) in the Pitman arm (1) and in the front axle steering arm

Always keep the matching position of the marks on the steering gear within 15° max. for each side.

Install the safety nuts (2)

 Use new safety nuts.

 .Lock nut of track rod ball joints
