Remove/install hydraulic line of power steering

Risk of injury to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid

Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system

Open engine hood

Remove front engine cover

Remove engine trim panel

Remove left engine intake air duct upstream of air filter

Extract oil from power steering reservoir (8)



Disconnect hydraulic line (7) from reservoir (8) of power steering

 Seal line terminals using

 stop plugs. Check condition of hose clamp and hydraulic line, replace if necessary.



Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Remove engine compartment paneling

Vehicles with gasoline engine

Remove noise encapsulation

Vehicles with diesel engine

Disconnect hydraulic line (7) from radiator (6) of power steering

 Seal line terminals using

 stop plugs. Check condition of hose clamp and hydraulic line, replace if necessary.



Remove hydraulic line (7) upwards

Install in the reverse order

Fill power steering pump and bleed
