1 | Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initial startup of electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) | When replacing the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73). | |
2 | Move adjustable steering column forward and to lowest position | ||
3 | Remove steering column tube module | ||
4 | Unclip cover for steering column tube (1) from instrument panel (2) and remove to the rear | ||
5 | Remove trim ring (3) from instrument panel (2) | Claw wrench for trim ring on ignition/starter switch | |
6 | Unclip electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) inwards from the instrument panel (2) | ||
7 | Disconnect electrical connectors (4) | ||
8 | Press retaining tabs (5) together (arrows A), slide cable (6) in direction of arrow (arrow B) and route out of electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) (arrow C) | Vehicles with automatic transmission | |
9 | Remove electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) towards steering column tube and out of the instrument panel (2) | The electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) must be turned accordingly so that it can be removed between the steering column tube and the instrument panel (2). | |
10 | Install in the reverse order |
