Remove/install

Turn steering wheel (1) to center position.

The front wheels must be in the straight-ahead position.

Remove driver airbag from steering wheel (1).

Release and disconnect electrical connection (3).

Counterhold steering wheel (1) and remove bolt (2).

Installation: Reuse screw (2) and mark with a non-water-soluble pen (color dot).

Screw/bolt, steering wheel to steering shaft

If the bolt (2) already bears a marking (color dot)

Replace bolt (2).

Remove steering wheel (1).

Installation: Align recesses of the splines (arrows A) in steering wheel (1) with markings on the steering shaft.

Install in the reverse order.
