Reduce vacuum in brake booster by depressing brake pedal several times.

Attach vacuum tester (1) to brake booster.

Actuate electric vacuum pump using diagnostic system.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

After 30 s, read off measurement value on vacuum tester (1).

After 30 s, read off measurement value on vacuum tester (1).

 The vacuum is permitted to drop by max. 0.2 bar in 30 s.

If a vacuum loss of more than 0.2 bar is detected,

replace vacuum line (2.1) with check valve (2).

Remove vehicle diagnosis system.

Detach vacuum tester (1) from brake booster.
