1 | Fully depress the brake pedal several times in succession until the vacuum has been removed | ||
2 | Remove interior flap above engine | ||
3 | Detach vacuum line of brake booster (1) at the vacuum pump (2) | ||
4 | Expose the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) in the engine compartment | Installation: Ensure the brake booster vacuum line (1) is in the correct position in the holder (10), otherwise the brake booster vacuum line (1) can be chafed through in the belt pulley area. | |
5 | Detach vacuum hose (3) on the check valve of the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) | ||
Danger! | Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. | Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer. | |

10 | Detach vacuum line for brake booster (1) on the brake booster (7) | ||
11 | Pull chafe protection (8) of vacuum line for the brake booster (1) and the charging current line (4) forward between the body and the frame-type integral support (9) | Installation: Observe correct seating of chafe protection (8) of vacuum line for the brake booster (1) and charging current line (4) between the body and frame-type integral support (9), as otherwise the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) or the charging current line (4) may be damaged. | |
12 | Route the front section of the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) between the body and the frame-type integral support (9) and then route the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) downwards | Make sure that the vacuum line for the brake booster (1) is not kinked and thus damaged. | |
Installation: Pay attention to chafe-free routing of vacuum line of brake booster (1). | |||
