1 | Remove preglow output stage | ||
2 | Release vacuum line for brake booster (2) and detach from vacuum pump (1) | Installation: Ensure the brake booster vacuum line (2) is in the correct position in the holder (9), otherwise the brake booster vacuum line (2) can be chafed through in the belt pulley area. | |
3 | Remove bolt (3) and ground line | ||
4 | Remove bolt (4) and turn holder (5) on oil dipstick guide tube to the side | ||
5 | Unscrew bolts (6) and remove vacuum pump (1) from cylinder head | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Position vacuum pump (1) on cylinder head and screw bolts (6) up to stop | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces. Replace gasket (7) on vacuum pump (1). Align drive plate (8) on vacuum pump (1) to match the camshaft position. | |
7 | Position oil dipstick guide tube with holder (5) and screw-in bolt (4) up to stop | ||
8 | Position ground line and screw-in bolt (3) up to stop | ||
9 | Tighten bolts (3, 4, 6) of vacuum pump (1) in accordance with the tightening sequence (a to e) | Installation: Use suitable Torx box wrench insert to tighten to the specified tightening torque. | |
