Unscrew bolts (1) from bracket (2)



Lower the ESP hydraulic unit (3) using transmission jack and removal fixture until the ESP control unit (N47-5) is accessible



Unlock retainer of electrical connector (5) and disconnect electrical connector (5) on ESP control unit (N47-5)

Clean hydraulic unit (3) and ESP control unit (N47-5)

Clean the hydraulic unit (3) and ESP control unit (N47-5) carefully in order to avoid damage due to contamination when separating the components.

Unscrew bolts (4) on ESP control unit (N47-5)

 Installation: Observe tightening procedure for bolts (4).

Carefully remove ESP control unit (N47-5) from hydraulic unit (3)

 It is essential to pay attention to cleanliness. No dirt may enter the ESP control unit (3) and the hydraulic unit (N47-5), otherwise its function may be impaired.

 Installation: Clean sealing surfaces on the hydraulic unit (3) and on the ESP control unit (N47-5).
Check gasket, replace if necessary.

Do not tilt ESP control unit (N47-5) when positioning.

Install in the reverse order

Perform ESP control unit (N47-5) diagnosis



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
