Switch off ignition

Remove left or right rear wheel

Detach left rear axle rpm sensor electrical connector (L6/3) or right rear axle rpm sensor electrical connector (L6/4) from rear axle electrical distributor electrical connector (X62/8)

Unclip electrical line of left rear-axle rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear-axle rpm sensor (L6/4) from line bracket.

Installation: Observe routing of electrical line.

Unscrew screw (6a)

Pull left rear axle rpm sensor (L6/3) or right rear axle rpm sensor
(L6/4) out off wheel carrier (7)

For model 172, pull line bracket (2) away from wheel carrier (7).

Install in the reverse order

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
