| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove wheel. | ||
| Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary | ||
2 | Remove wheelhouse lining (1) | ||
3 | Unplug rpm sensor connector (X62) | To do this, lever open spring detent (2) with screwdriver. | |
4 | Expose electrical feed line of rpm sensor (L6/3, L6/4) | To do so, open the catch (3) of the cable duct and unclip the electrical feed line from the retaining clamps. | |
Installation: Ensure lines are installed correctly. | |||
5 | Unscrew bolt (6a) | Installation: Install new bolt (6a). | |

6 | Pull rpm sensor (L6/3, L6/4) out of wheel carrier (7) | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
8 | Read out diagnostic trouble code memory using STAR DIAGNOSIS and erase if necessary | STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system |
