Remove/install rear axle brake disc

Remove/install

Switch vehicle to service mode.

 With code CL0 (air suspension)

Remove wheel

Remove brake pads on rear axle

 Only when replacing the brake pads with brake discs.

Take off cap (5)

Unscrew bolts (4, 6)



Detach brake caliper (3) with brake pads from semi-trailing arm

 Tie brake caliper (3) to one side and ensure that the brake hose is not kinked.

Unscrew bolt (2) of brake disk (1).



Remove brake disk (1)

 Slacken adjusting nut for parking brake using a flat screwdriver.

 Installation: Clean braking surfaces of all dirt.

Install in the reverse order

Adjust parking brake

Checking

Check brake disc

 Replace if undersize.

Check brake shoes of parking brake

 Replace if undersize.

Before starting the vehicle, fully depress the brake pedal repeatedly until pressure has built up.

 Test-drive the vehicle to check whether the brake system is functioning correctly and to adapt the brake pads.
