Remove

Disconnect electrical connection (1)

Remove brake light switch (S9/1)

 To do so, unlock and remove brake light switch (S9/1) by turning clockwise.



Check

Check basic position of brake light switch (S9/1); adjust if necessary

 To do so, check basic dimension (X). The basic dimension (X) is 28 mm.

If the basic dimension (X) is incorrect:



Carefully pull actuating pin out of brake light switch (S9/1) until basic dimension (X) is reached.



Install

Install brake light switch (S9/1)

 To do so, fully depress brake pedal, insert brake light switch (S9/1) and turn counterclockwise as far as it will go. The actuating travel is adjusted automatically when the brake pedal is released.



Check

5

Check that brake light switch (S9/1) is correctly adjusted

 The flange (2) must not be visible.
Correct operation is otherwise not guaranteed. Repeat adjustment if necessary.



Install

Mount electrical connector (1).



Check

7

Check that brake light switch (S9/1) is functioning correctly

 If it is not functioning correctly, repeat adjustment.
