Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Lift/jack up vehicle

Remove the front wheels

Take care when removing wheels to avoid damaging the brake disks.

Loosen clamp (5S) and pull off hose

Unscrew bolts (2Ka)

Remove outer part of cooling duct (3Ka)

Remove brake pads

Loosen and secure brake caliper (3)

Do not tension the brake hose in the process. Overstretching causes invisible material cracks and thus component destruction.

Do not separate the brake hose from the brake line.

Remove brake caliper support

Unscrew bolts (2Ki) from steering knuckle (8)

Remove inner part of cooling duct (3Ki)

Checking

Check condition of brake disk

Check lining thickness of brake pads and condition of brake disks
