1 | Unlock electrical connector (1) using a suitable tool and disconnect from brake light switch (S9/1) | ||
2 | Turn brake light switch (S9/1) 90° counterclockwise and remove from bracket (2) | ||
| Install | ||
3 | Insert brake light switch (S9/1) into bracket (2) and turn 90° clockwise as far as end stop | ||
4 | Contact electrical connector (1) on brake light switch (S9/1) | ||
Adjust | |||
5 | Depress brake pedal (4) in direction of arrow, position feeler gauge (3) between bracket (2) and brake light switch (S9/1) and release brake pedal (4) | Select a feeler gauge (3) with a thickness of 2.6 mm. | |
6 | Remove feeler gage (3) | ||
| Checking | ||
7 | Measure pedal travel of brake pedal (4) and, if necessary, repeat adjustment procedure with 3.6 mm feeler gauge (3) | Remove the feeler gauge (3) after repeating the adjustment procedure. | |
8 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and delete fault memory | ||
9 | Check brake light switch signal using Star Diagnosis | ||
10 | Close Star Diagnosis |
