Risk of accident when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service brake is operated for the first time after repair work.

Before starting the engine, actuate brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the brake system.

Remove/install

Extract brake fluid from brake fluid reservoir (1).

 To do so, open brake fluid reservoir (1).

 Commercially available devices/tools
Extraction bellows

Remove feed hose (2) from clutch master cylinder.

Model 907 with transmission 700.790, 711.6
Model 910 with transmission 700.760

 Catch escaping brake fluid using a suitable rag and seal openings.

 Record plug

Disconnect electrical connector (4).



Clean

Clean area surrounding brake fluid reservoir (1) to master brake cylinder.

Assembly cleaner

Remove bolt (3) .

 Screw/bolt, brake fluid reservoir to master brake cylinder

*BA42.10-N-1002-05TS

Remove brake fluid reservoir (1).

 Catch escaping brake fluid using a suitable rag and seal openings.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings (5).

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.
