Remove/install propeller shaft intermediate bearing and replace grooved ball bearing

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Separate front driveshaft (1) and rear driveshaft (2) at the slide connection

 Installation: Coat splined profile with Molykote grease.



Long-life grease (NLGI grade 2)

 Installation: Assemble the driveshaft.

Pull boot (4) off front propeller shaft (1)

 Installation: Replace damaged rubber boot (4) and ensure that new one is seated correctly:

Pull off rubber mount (7b) with deep-groove ball bearing (8)

 Installation: Press rubber mount (7b) with grooved ball bearing (8) onto linkage arm.
