Test values for front wheel alignment

1 Insert wheel alignment equipment (1) with locating pin (6) for steering axis inclination measurement into the projector bracket (9) of the front wheel to be measured.

2 Turn front end of wheel 20° outwards. Observe scale of turntable on side to be measured (1).

3 Align measuring instrument so that it is horizontal using spirit level and clamp into projector bracket using thumb screw (10).
4 Set measuring point "Steering axis inclination" to 0 on the scale of the wheel to be measured.
5 Turn knob (5) until bubble level (3) is at center.

6 Turn front end of wheel 20° inwards (observe scale of turntable on side to be measured).
7 Turn knob "Steering axis inclination" (7) until the bubble level (3) is back at center.
8 Read off size of steering axis inclination at dial.
9 Carry out steering axis inclination measurement on the other front wheel of the vehicle in the same manner.
