2 | Clean wheels if necessary, attach to steady-state balance machine and balance to a maximum of 5 g to 10 g for each wheel side | Use recommended balancing machines, observe manufacturers' specifications. | |
3.1 | Balance wheels on the vehicle | Wheels may only be finish-balanced on the vehicle after they have been statically balanced. Vehicle doors must be closed. On steel rims balance with wheel covers. Drive the rear wheels with the engine only otherwise the rear axle center assembly will be damaged. |
