Danger! | Life at risk from vehicle slipping off or falling off the elevator | Position the vehicle on a suitable elevator so the wheels of the front axle, rear drive axle and driven axle remain supported with safety on the elevator supporting plates, on the lifting points determined by the vehicle manufacturer. | |
1 | Loosen the wheel fastening nuts (1) | Installing: Tighten the wheel fastening nuts crosswise and in several stages. | |
Re-tighten the wheel nuts after having driven from 50 to 100 km. | |||

2 | Lift the vehicle until the wheels clear the ground and support it on appropriate safety stands. | The vehicle must never be lifted by the center of the rear or front axle, if laden, this procedure can cause serious axle damage. Heavy and fully laden vehicles require special care. | |
At front: Lift the vehicle from under the center of the spring pack. Should it be necessary, use a reworked and appropriate wooden block. | |||
Vehicles with single rear axle:lift the vehicle from under the center of the spring pack in the axle vertical line. | |||
Vehicles with two rear axles:lift the vehicle by the elevation points located under the axles. | |||
3 | Remove the fastening nuts with integrated turning washers (1) and the wheels (3) | Installing: Install the outer wheel with the tire inflation valve offset 180° in relation to the inner wheel valve. | |

4 | Check the tires and wheels for condition | Installing: Thoroughly clean the contact surfaces of the hub and wheels to permit a perfect wheel seating and centering. | |
5 | Check if the wheel fastening nuts (1) and the respective bolts present damages |
