Park pawl actuator

 Danger

Risk of explosion caused by escaping hydrogen or overheating of the fuel tanks when working on the hydrogen system. Risk of frostbite to body parts caused by escaping gas and by touching component parts carrying gas when emptying fuel tanks. Risk of asphyxiation caused by inhalation of air diluted by hydrogen. Print out "tank system, fuel cell, form event log," fill out, and attach to the vehicle somewhere clearly visible.



Remove axle drive module.

Engage park pawl.
Otherwise, the park pawl actuator (A79/1m1) under stress.

Unclip line bracket (1) from protective cover (3).

Unscrew bolts (2).

 Screw, protective cover to drive unit

Remove protective cover (3).

Unscrew screw/bolts (4).

 Screw, cap over park pawl actuator

Disconnect electrical connector from cap (5) and remove the cap (5).

 Replace seal in cap (5).

Remove retaining ring (6).

Remove gear (7).

Remove bolts (8).

 Screw, park pawl actuator to drive unit

Remove park pawl actuator (A79/1m1).

Install in the reverse order.

Commission park pawl actuator (A79/1m1).

When replacing park pawl actuator (A79/1m1).



Delete fault memory and perform a function test drive.
