Gradually tighten the ring (1) just enough to clear the gap between the sprocket and pinion teeth. Then loosen it from 3 to 4 castles.


Make sure that one of the ring holes (1) is aligned with the locking pin of the locking plate.

Gradually tighten the ring (2) using the pin wrench (3) until the clearance of the bearings is eliminated. From this point tighten it more, to get the necessary preload.
For NEW bearings = tighten from 2 to 3 castles.
For USED bearings = tighten from 1 to 2 castles.
