Remove

Remove corresponding wheel carrier (1).

Press wheel hub (2) out of wheel bearing (4) using a suitable thrust piece.

 The wheel bearing (4) is destroyed here.

Release bearing race of wheel bearing (4) using hammer and chisel.

If the wheel hub (2) is reused.

Position puller as shown and detach bearing race of wheel bearing (4) from wheel hub (2).

If the wheel hub (2) is reused.

Remove circlip (3).

Press wheel bearing (4) out of wheel carrier (1) using a suitable thrust piece.

Clean

Clean wheel carrier (1).



Install

Press in wheel bearing (4) using a suitable thrust piece and install new retaining ring (3).


The pulse ring (5) of the wheel bearing (4) must point toward the inside of the wheel carrier (1).
The brake system will otherwise not function correctly.

 The pulse ring (5) for the rpm sensor is integrated in the wheel bearing (4).

Press in wheel hub (2), as shown, with a suitable thrust piece.


The thrust piece used must fit flush to the inner bearing race (7).
Otherwise damage may occur to the wheel bearing (4).

Install wheel carrier (1).
