Notes on bolted connections with self tapping screws

Unscrew nut of left bar link (1) and right bar link (8) on axle tube (2) and remove bolt (3) with securing element (4)

 Use suitable lever to support respective axle tube, and do not damage boot of side shaft while doing so.

 Installation: Tighten nut only when vehicle empty (approx. 75 kg weight on driver's seat and a full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in front passenger area).

Remove bolt (5) of crossmember (6) from integral carrier at right and left

 Screw/bolt, crossmember to integral carrier

Carefully push shield (7) on crossmember (6) to one side

 Installation: Replace if the shield (7) deformation is permanently set.

Remove each ball bar link (1, 8) to be disassembled from crossmember (6)

 Installation: Tighten nut only when vehicle empty (approx. 75 kg weight on driver's seat and a full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in front passenger area).
