Notes on bolted connections with self tapping screws

Unscrew left bar link nut (1) and right bar link (8) from axle tube (2) and remove bolt (3) with securing element (4)

 Support respective axle tube using a suitable jack, while doing so do not damage boot of side shaft.

 Installation: Tighten nut only when vehicle is empty (approx. 75 kg weight on driver's seat and full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in front passenger area).

Remove bolt (5) from crossmember (6) on integral carrier at right and left

 Screw/bolt, crossmember to integral carrier

Carefully push shield (7) on crossmember (6) to one side

 Installation: Replace if the shield (7) deformation is permanently set.

Remove each bar link to be removed from crossmember (6)

 Installation: Tighten nut only when vehicle is empty (approx. 75 kg weight on driver's seat and full tank or approx. 20 kg weight in front passenger area).
