Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Remove propeller shaft from front axle differential.

Remove sealing ring (2).

Screw suitable bolts (3) into radial shaft sealing ring (1) and pull out radial shaft sealing ring (1).


Do not use any sharp-edged tool.
Otherwise, the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) may be damaged.



Clean

Clean seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring(1).

Assembly cleaner

Check

5

Check seat and sealing area of radial shaft sealing ring (1) in front axle transmission for damage.

If the seat or sealing area is damaged,



replace front axle differential.

Check bleed line (4).


Bleed line (4) may not be kinked or clogged.
Malfunction or damage can occur otherwise.

If bleed line (4) is kinked or clogged



rectify cause or repair or replace bleed line (4).

 After obtaining special order.

Check version of breather on bleed line (4).

If the old breather version (see picture) is installed,



replace breather with new version.



Install

8

Moisten radial shaft sealing ring (1) on sealing lip and coat dust lip with oil.



Hypoid gear oils SAE 75 W-90 (specification 235.8)

Install radial shaft sealing ring (1) with sleeve (5) and drift (6).

Coat new sealing ring (2) with oil.



Install new sealing ring (2).

Install propeller shaft for front axle differential.

 Attach bottom engine compartment lining only after leak test.



Check

13

Check oil level in front axle differential, correct, if necessary.



Check front axle differential for leak tightness.

 Visual inspection only.
