Switch off ignition.

 Release air from brake air tanks.

Loosen the front wheel nuts (1).

Lift the front both wheels using a proper hydraulic jack (use 5 to 9 ton).

 Support the vehicle at FUPD (front under protection device) using tripod stand (2).

Remove front wheel (3) from both the sides using tire lever.

Remove drag link ball joint split pin (4) from pitman and knuckle arm.

Remove drag link mounting nut (5) from pitman arm and knuckle arm.

Remove drag link (6) from pitman arm and knuckle arm using special tool puller.

 Special tool must be held in one hand and tightening tool at other hand, otherwise it may fall down.

Remove lower mounting bolt of left hand side (LHS) and right hand side (RHS) shock absorber (7) from front axle.

Remove pneumatic hose adaptor (8) from brake chambers on the both the sides.

 Ensure air is released from the brake air tanks before removal of pneumatic hose connection from brake chamber.

Remove hydraulic jack and insert the pallet jack (9).

Remove front leaf spring U-clamps (10) on both the sides of the axle by removing the mounting nuts (8 nos).

Remove front axle (11) from vehicle using pallet jack.

Place the front axle on the special tool work stand (12).

If required,



remove front foundation brake.

If required,



remove the tie rod.

Install in the reverse order.
