Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove battery

Remove/install battery

Support vehicle using a suitable jack on rear drive module

Remove front anti-roll bar

Remove/install front stabilizer bar

Remove bolt (2) from steering gear (3) on front axle carrier (1)

Bolt, rack-and-pinion steering to front axle carrier

Unhook refrigerant lines (4) from holder (6)

Unhook coolant line (5) from holder (6)

Remove both transverse control arms from front axle

Remove/install front axle transverse control arm

Support front axle carrier (1) using suitable jack

Remove bolt (7) from front axle carrier (1) on body

Installation: Screw in bolts (7) and remove transmission jack.
Slide front axle carrier (1) forward and align centrally in this position.
Tighten bolts (7).

Lower jack, route front axle carrier (1) past coolant lines (4) and refrigerant lines (5), and then remove

Install in the reverse order

Perform wheel alignment check
