Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

1.1

Remove floor covering in driver's side footwell.

If the front-axle half (1) is removed on the driver's side.

Remove vehicle tool kit carrier plate.

If the front-axle half (1) is removed on the front passenger side.

Remove brake caliper (6).

Do not tension or kink brake hose.
Otherwise the brake hose will be damaged.

 Do not detach brake hose.
Remove brake caliper (6) and tie up at suitable position.

Position electrical wiring harness (5) outside working area.

 To do so, disconnect electrical connector (4) and unclip electrical wiring harness (5) from shock-absorber strut (2).

Remove torsion bar linkage (8) from transverse control arm (11).

Remove ball head (12) from steering knuckle.

Remove steering knuckle from transverse control arm (11).

Remove front-axle half (1).

 To do so, remove bolts (3).

 Helper required.

 Bolt, support bearing to body

Check

Check shock-absorber strut (2).

 Installation:
The decoupling element at the pivot bearing must be replaced.
Otherwise, noise will be generated during driving and during steering movements.

Install in the reverse order

Perform chassis alignment.
