Y36/1 ABC front axle valve unit

 	Remove/install
Danger!	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system

1	Remove front sections of the lower engine compartment paneling		AR61.20-P-1105R
2	Relieve pressure in front axle ABC system		AR32.50-P-0001-01N

3	Remove fender liner in the front left fender
4	Detach bracket (5)		*BA32.50-P-1023-01A
			*BA32.50-P-1024-01A
5	Remove bolts (2) and remove hydraulic lines (3)	 Ensure that no dirt gets into the opened hydraulic lines (3) as this can lead to the failure of the ABC system.
		 Installation: Check sealing rings for damage and replace if necessary. Check support rings for damage and replace the complete hydraulic line (3) if necessary.

6	Seal hydraulic lines (3) and openings in the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) with stop plugs		*129589009100
7	Unscrew nuts (1) and remove front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) downwards	 Only remove the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) far enough until the electrical connectors (4) are accessible.

8	Detach electrical connectors (4) and remove front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1)	 Before detaching the electrical connectors (4), check whether the color coding on the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) and the electrical connectors (4) are present. Otherwise, if incorrectly mounted, the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) may be destroyed or malfunction. Warning: Risk of accident!
		 Installation: The electrical plugs and connections on the front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) are color coded relative to each other, and they must not be mixed up.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Replace stop plugs in removed front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1) with closure caps	When replacing front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1)
		 Caps are supplied with new part.
11	Fill and bleed ABC system		AR32.50-P-0021N
12	Carry out plunger travel calibration using STAR DIAGNOSIS	When replacing front axle ABC valve unit (Y36/1)
