Remove/install

Remove spare wheel.

Model 447, 448 with code RR6 (Spare wheel with jack)

Remove lower underfloor paneling.

Remove both torsion bar linkages of stabilizer bar (1) from semi-trailing arm.

 Torsion bar linkages are not completely removed.

Unclip brake cable (2) from holder.

Unhook electrical wiring harness (3).

 Installation: Check the retaining clip (4); inspect and, if necessary, replace.

Release electric parking brake (EFB) control unit (A13) and remove from working area.

 To do so, remove the bolts (6).

Remove bolts (5, 8).

 Bolt, stabilizer bar to underfloor

Lower rear axle differential (7).

 Stabilizer bar (1) must be accessible.

Remove stabilizer bar (1).

 To do this, unscrew screws/bolts (9) and remove the stabilizer bar (1).

 Bolt, stabilizer bar to underfloor

Install in the reverse order.
