Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. Check special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Remove paneling on center piece in front of the windshield

Remove respective front wheel

Unscrew nut (1)

Counterhold threaded pins at stabilizer bar link rod.

Installation: Use suitable open end wrench bit.

Nut, stabilizer bar link rod to suspension strut

Torque wrench handle

Remove brake hose (2) from bracket

Installation:
Position brake hose (2) correctly.
Malfunction or damage may occur otherwise.

Remove screws/bolts (3)

Bolt, steering knuckle to suspension strut

Lower vehicle

Remove screws/bolts (4)

Bolt, suspension strut tower to body

Remove suspension strut (5)

Install in the reverse order

Perform wheel alignment check

Only when replacing the suspension strut (5).
