Danger!

Risk of injury due to limbs being trapped or crushed when working on springs or spring bodies under preload

Only use approved clamping devices, if appropriate also screen off danger area.

Check special tools for damage and function, (visual inspection). Wear safety gloves.

Switch the vehicle to service mode

On vehicles with air suspension

hold the service button (2) down approx. 2 seconds before jacking

Place an adjustable height support on the rocker arm.

Ensure that the support is correctly installed.

Remove the fixing screw (4) holding the shock absorber to the semi-trailing arm.

Remove the fixing screw (3) holding the shock absorber to the bodywork.

Remove the fixing screw (3) holding the shock absorber to the bodywork.

Installation: Ensure that the shock absorber or the pneumatic suspension bellows is correctly installed.

Take out the shock absorber (1).

Installation: Pay attention to the correct placement of the shock absorber or the pneumatic suspension bellows.

Clean the shock absorbers
